Mead Wine & Show Mead
Impeccably-fermented honey wines that showcase specific varietals of honey - Salt Spring Island Mead Co's Honey Wines feature local BC honey including Blueberry, Blackberry, Raspberry, and Wildflower – from our own farm, and others.
Through a proprietary cold filtration process, we clean our honey before fermentation - all without destroying color, flavour, and (most importantly) enzymes through the application of heat. As a result, the delicate botanicals of each flower type are transferred from the bee, to the honey, then through the fermentation process and into the final wine, making each of our Mead Wines uniquely distinct in character and flavour.
